Homemade face mask with potato and pumpkin

A homemade face mask made from fresh potato and pumpkin is a great toning and rejuvenating DIY face mask that is suitable for all skin types. Grate half of a small potato and a small piece of pumpkin (or you can use butternut squash) with a grater or in a food processor. Squeeze the juice from the grated vegetables, and to the juice add half egg yolk, 1 tablespoon of milk and potato or corn starch to thicken the DIY facial mask. Apply the face mask and leave it for 15 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.

The homemade parsley face mask will make your skin refreshed and clean. Take a bunch of parsley and grind it with a mortar and pestle and strain the juice through cheese cloth. To the parsley juice add 1 tablespoon of green clay and mix everything well. Add the green clay slowly and mix well because the mixture should not be too thick. Apply the green clay and parsley face mask to your face and leave it for 10-15 minutes. Then rinse with cold water.

The homemade face mask with dill is great for any skin type, especially for dry skin because it refreshes and moisturizes the skin. In a mortar, grind 1 tablespoon of dill, mix it with 1 teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil and add oatmeal or oat flour to thicken the mixture. Apply a thick layer on the face and after 20 minutes rinse with warm water.

A homemade face mask made with chamomile is very soothing and calming. It’s great for soothing inflamed and irritated skin skin and acne prone skin that has been treated with harsh anti acne products. In 1 cup of boiling water add 3 tablespoons of dried chamomile (or 6 tablespoons of fresh chamomile). Leave it for 10-15 minutes until the chamomile tea cools slightly. Strain the tea. Take a double layer of cheese cloth and cut it in a oval shape that can cover your face. Be sure to make holes for your eyes, nose and mouth. Dip the cheese cloth into the strong chamomile tea and apply it on your face. Leave it for 30 minutes and rinse your face with cold water.

Homemade face mask with pumpkin and egg yolk

This homemade face mask with pumpkin is extremely moisturizing and rich and it is suitable for any skin type. You will need 1 small piece of pumpkin or butternut squash (around 2-3 tablespoons) that has been steamed and mashed, 1 egg yolk and 2 -3 teaspoons of milk. Mix everything together and apply this DIY pumpkin face mask to your face face and neck (excluding the eye area). Leave the face mask for 30 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.

If you want to reduce the puffy eyes even more, place the potato in the fridge and let it cool completely before you place it onto your eyes. Lie down for half an hour and relax. After this DIY eye mask you will feel refreshed and rejuvenated.

Here is a simple and easy recipe for homemade face mask with eggplant that will nourish and moisturize your skin. Cut an eggplant into very thin strips and apply them onto your face (excluding the eye area). Place a cheese cloth over it (cut holes for your eyes, nose and mouth) and leave it for 10-15 minutes. After 10-15 minutes rinse with lukewarm chamomile tea or warm water. This quick and easy DIY eggplant face mask is suitable for every skin type.

Homemade face mask with spinach

Take 1/2 cup of cooked spinach (you can use frozen spinach that has been defrosted). Put it in a food processor, add one tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and blend everything well. Apply on your face and lie down and relax – 20-30 minutes is enough for the DIY spinach face mask to do its job. Wash your face with cool water and you are ready to face the day – refreshed and rejuvenated.

Homemade steam facial with sage

If you have oily skin, it is good to make occasional homemade steam facial with sage to remove the impurities from the pores and to control the excess oils. In a large bowl put 5 cups of boiling water and 2 tablespoons of dried sage (or 4 tablespoons of fresh sage). Lean over the bowl with your head covered with towel for about 15-20 minutes. Be sure that your face is clean before you do this procedure.  After steaming dry your face and apply a moisturizer.
