Studies have shown that polyphenols can reduce the number of fat cells in the body by 73%, if taken in large doses and by 27% – in small doses, said researchers from Texas University.
Using tissues from mice, the researchers studied the effects of polyphenols in blueberries to combat the development of fat cells and lipolysis – the destruction of fatty deposits in the body.
The results showed that the highest doses of polyphenols from blueberries make lipids in the tissues of the mouse to reduce by 73%, even the smallest dose can reduce lipids in the tissues by 27%.
