Drink milk to have healthy eyes

If you want to be in good form, you need to drink milk, say scientists who base their advice on the results of recent research.

Women who have high body levels of vitamin D are more protected from possible eye problems. Specifically, among them two-thirds are less likely to develop macular degeneration, which is associated with age, shows the recent U.S. research.

Otherwise, macular degeneration is the commonest cause of blindness in old age. It prevents the normal way of life due to the decreasing of eye sight,  and people can not perform some daily activities like reading, driving, or even recognize faces.

U.S. researchers examined data of 1,313 women who were part of a larger study of diseases related to eyes. They noted that women in the 70’s, who took vitamin D through milk and other foods have much better health of the eyes.
This is a very interesting discovery, but it requires additional research so the relationship between vitamin D, genetics and lifestyle will be better understanded.
