Hair dyeing during pregnancy
Is it safe to dye your hair during pregnancy? This issue causes discussion for several decades and there is still no real answer, which is unanimously supported by experts.
There is no evidence that chemicals in hair color can harm the fetus, but there is no evidence that the dye is safe during pregnancy either. Lack of evidence is caused by the fact that pregnant women who would participate in research in this area, are also exposed to risk their future babies. And that is why research with people in this area hardly run.
It is best to consult your doctor before you decide anything. If you want to update the look of your hair, you are safe to do some highlights, but only when the dye does not touch the scalp of the head. So experts believe it is safe.
However, if you decide to dye your hair, here are a few tips:
1. Do not dye your hair in the first quarter. In the first months of pregnancy the fetus is formed and its organs too.
2. The room where the dye is, should be well ventilated. The smell of dye may cause dizziness or nausea in pregnant women.
3. Do not leave the hair dye longer than recommended.
4. Instead of dye use henna. Henna is considered a safer way of coloring the hair, because it is a natural product.
