Make sure that you show up on time
Actually it’s better to be 5 or 10 minutes early than your interview. This way you’ll have couple of minutes to calm down and to get ready for the actual job interview. Try not to be there 1 or 2 minutes before the actual interview because you’ll probably be too excited and nervous especially if you’re applying for your dream job. If you have to be late for some reason. make sure that you call and let them know, because it’s better for them to know that you’ll be few minutes late than to wait for you.
Wear official business attire
Always dress for you job interview like a serious professional, no matter if you’re looking for a job in a small or big company. If you’re relaxed and casually dressed, your prospective employer may think that you are insufficiently interested for the job. If you can’t decide what to wear, pick some conservative clothing, that’s never wrong. Nice suit or formal trousers and white shirt would be perfect for this occasion. You can wear a skirt that should be black, formal and under your knees, and avoid wearing revealing dresses. Don’t wear too intrusive colors either. No matter how much money your clothes cost, it is important that you come up with a professional outfit and your clothes should make you feel good and confident in them. Of course, your clothes should be clean and nicely ironed.
Have good personal hygiene
Being clean and put together is a nice way to make a great first impression at a job interview. You can’t just show up for a job interview with oily and messy hair or to have the remains of food on your teeth. It is very important that you have fresh breath, but that doesn’t mean that you should chew gum or candy during the job interview. It is considered as immature and unprofessional.
Wear natural makeup
When you go on a job interviews, forget the strong and dramatic makeup. In this case the rule is the less – the better. Use some concealer to hide the blemishes on your face, a little bit of mascara and lip balm or lipstick in natural color. Leave the jewelry at home

Cover up your tattoos
Another good way to make a great first impression at a job interview is to hide your tattoos. Showing your tattoos is interpreted like lack of professionalism and seriousness. In order to leave a good impression on a job interview, hide your tattoos with your clothes. If the tattoo is on a visible place that can’t be covered with clothes, try to cover it with make up. The same goes for piercing. If you have piercing, it is best to remove it before you go to a job interview.
