There aren’t many women who have eyebrows which form is so bad or unsuitable for their face and should be changed completely. Eyebrows usually require a little bit of repair and makeup to look great.
A few eyebrow shaping tips will help you determine the most appropriate shape for your eyebrows, so here are few tips on how to shape your eyebrows:
How to shape your eyebrows – Determine their shape
If your eyebrows doesn’t have a particular shape, or it’s your first time shaping them, you should trace them with a white eye pencil and determine what shape looks perfect on you. If you have hard time doing this, visit a cosmetician. She’ll give them a shape that you can follow at home.
Your eyebrow should start from a point which is parallel to the inner corner of your eye. You can easily determine this by using a chopstick or eye pencil, and place it on the side of the nose, passing by the inner corner of your eye and touching the eyebrow. You can mark the starting point of your eyebrow with a white eye pencil.
To determine the highest part of your eyebrow (the arch), look straight ahead, put the chopstick or eye pencil on the outer corner of your nose and let it pass in front of your iris all the way to your eyebrow. The point where the chopstick or eye pencil touches your brow should be your arch. From this point to the end of your eyebrow, your brow should gradually get thinner.
To determine where your eyebrow should end, place the chopstick or eye pencil on the outer corner of your mouth, let it pass to the outer corner of your eye all the way to your eyebrow. The point where the chopstick or eye pencil touches your brow, that’s where your eyebrow should end. You can also place the chopstick or eye pencil horizontally under your eyebrow, there shouldn’t be any hair under the eye pencil.
Eyebrow shaping tips – Trim your eyebrows
If you think that your eyebrows are too long and you need to trim them, make sure that you do it very carefully. Use special eyebrow trimmer or trim them with small scissors.
Eyebrow shaping tips – Fill them in
If you want your eyebrows to look natural, don’t fill them in with black eyebrow pencil. Use a light brown, dark brown or dark gray eyebrow pencil. When you’re filling on your eyebrows, make a small, short lines in the same direction as the hair growth rather than doing long straight lines.
Eyebrow shaping tips – Pluck the stray hair
Once you have achieved the desired shape of your eyebrows, if there’s some stray hair, pluck it carefully. Be careful when you’re plucking your eyebrows between your eyes and under your brow bone because those are the places where you can go overboard and pluck more hair than you should. Also if you have some stray hair above your eyebrow, pluck it too. If you want your skin to be extra smooth you can also try waxing or threading your eyebrows.
